As PPW events return with live audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is our commitment to do what we can to ensure the health and safety of our competitors, officials, support staff, and fans while still providing the best entertainment experience.
Safety Information for Fans
PPW is committed to providing fans safety and piece of mind when attending our events. For this reason, and in keeping with requests from Alberta Health, we have put into place a number of guidelines for our events.
- At this time, all PPW events will observe a strict 100 person capacity limit, not including wrestlers, officials and support staff.
- PPW will work to ensure fans are physically distanced from one another as much as is feasible. This includes spacing seats farther apart than you may be used to at our events.
- The ringside aisleway will be increased from our standard five foot distance to a minimum of eight feet with more distance being added as venue space permits.
- We encourage our fans to cheer, boo and express themselves. However, high fives, hugs and other forms of physical contact between performers and fans will not be permitted at this time.
- Direct physical contact between wrestlers and fans at the merchandise stand will not be permitted at this time.
- Face masks: Fans attending PPW events will be required to wear face masks at all times.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided for fan use. We encourage fans to sanitize their hands.
- Please stay home and refrain from attending a PPW event if you are experiencing any of the following:
- fever
- new or worsening cough
- new or worsening shortness of breath
- new or worsening difficulty breathing
- sore throat
- runny nose
- feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion
- If In the past 14 days, you have returned from travel outside of Canada, you have had close contact with someone who is confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19
- If you are awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19
- Please note: ticket holding fans who are unable to attend an event due to experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19 may exchange their ticket for a ticket to a future event, or receive a refund by contacting Pure Power Wrestling.
Safety Information for Officials and Support Staff
PPW wishes to ensure the support staff that make our events possible are safe and healthy for the duration of our events. The following guidelines have been put in place to protect our officials and support staff.
- PPW support staff have the right to deny service to anyone making them feel unsafe at any time.
- PPW will provide support staff and officials with masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.
- PPW support staff will be encouraged to physically distance from one another whenever practical.
- Officials are encouraged to wear masks and gloves whenever practical.
- Support staff are asked to stay home and refrain from attending a PPW event if they are experiencing any of the following:
- fever
- new or worsening cough
- new or worsening shortness of breath
- new or worsening difficulty breathing
- sore throat
- runny nose
- feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion
- If In the past 14 days, you have returned from travel outside of Canada, you have had close contact with someone who is confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19
- If you are awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19
Safety Information for Competitors
The health and safety of our competitors has always been top priority for Pure Power Wrestling. The following guidelines have been put into place to protect out competitors:
- Competitors will be encouraged to maintain physical distance while in the locker room area.
- PPW is increasing our sanitation protocols:
- The ring canvas will be mopped with a sanitizing solution before and after each PPW event
- Ring ropes will be sanitized between each match
- Wrestlers will be required to maintain physical distance from fans during intermission
- Wrestlers caught intentionally coughing or spitting on opponents will be immediately disqualified and fined.
- Wrestlers will be required to submit to a temperature check and written screening.
- Wrestlers are asked to stay home and refrain from attending a PPW event if they are experiencing any of the following:
- fever
- new or worsening cough
- new or worsening shortness of breath
- new or worsening difficulty breathing
- sore throat
- runny nose
- feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion
- If In the past 14 days, you have returned from travel outside of Canada, you have had close contact with someone who is confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19
